Multilinear algebra videos

I’ve been pretty sick for the past 2-3 weeks, which has been somewhat draining, but recently I’ve begun making progress at a faster rate in my side-studies of multilinear algebra 😛 so there are now a total of 7 videos on subject available on my YouTube account (see the “Videos” link in the navigation above). Right now, the videos are mostly concerned with exploring the behaviour and properties of the tensor product of two vector spaces, giving some exposition of how the universal property is used in proofs, and so on. So in a sense it’s just groundwork right now, but after perhaps a few more examples, those kind of properties should be routine enough for you to prove, and I’ll start making videos on actual tensor algebra (dealing with things like the symmetric and exterior algebras, skew-symmetry, and so on — many of these concepts appear in differential geometry for example).

At any rate, it is sometimes difficult to decide whether something is more suited to be a video or a blog post. I suppose it is for this reason that my posts here have recently been waning 😛
